1. A car travels at a constant speed of 100km/h on a level road. The friction and air resistance acting on the car at 100km/h is 1000N. The car travels 10km per l of petrol at 100km/h. If 1l of petrol releases 3.7x10^7 J of energy, Calculate the efficiency of the car.

energy produce by the Petrol in 10km : 3.7x10^7 J
energy used against friction and air resistance = (F)(d) = (1000N)(10km)
=1x10^7

%=(1/3.7)x100%
=27.0% cor. to 3 sin. fig.
