Not really. There are several parameters during a urine test. E.g. the lab would use the microscope to count the blood cells there (e.g. red blood cells means blood in the urine, white blood cells mean infection, abnormal cells, e.g. cancer cells for cancer, special cells for some kidney diseases), do the chemistry tests (e.g. sugar for diabetes, some other chemical compounds for liver and other diseases), do the bacterial culture to grow any bacteria etc.
These are the tests which takes time. But the quickest impression of whether a urine sample is grossly abnormal is its color! So it is indeed very useful.
To name a few example,
People with liver or gall bladder disease would have urine like tea (so call "tea colour urine")
People with disease of the kidney system may have bloody urine
People on some medications, e.g. TB medications may have orange color urine
People with infection of the kidney or urinary tract may have milky )so call turbid) urine
Urine that turns color with sunlight may represent some special disease
So colour of the urine is one very important parameter in urine test. Don't just look at the figure in the lab test!
Should you like more detail about which urine color suggest what disease, I am happy to tell you E.g. a disease known as "jaundice" (a liver / gall bladder disease) would give rise to tea color urine. A disease of "rhabdomyolysis" (damage of the muscle) may give rise to coca-cola coloue urine etc.
