ABRSM vs Trinity

誰說trinity冇scales、sight reading、aural考試？
grade 1-8，(包括pre grade)的考試同ABRSM一樣，考pieces三首、scales and appreggios、sight reading及aural。
只有ATCL Recital、LTCL及FTCL只考四首pieces及programme notes+口試
但ATCL performance都要考scales、quick study、及aural。
冇錯，trinity的六級以上考試，是不用五級樂理，基本上，由pre grade至ATCL都不用五級樂理；但ABRSM考六級以上樂器就一定要五級樂理合格。
冇錯，ABRSM是more popular，因為香港考評局代報關係，而且認受性高一d，所以多人報考。但其實，trinity的grade 考試等同ABRSM的grade考試同等認受性。
trinity同ABRSM的grade考試內容分別不大，不會話trinity易d，你可睇睇trinity既syllabus，兒童不會感到易d，最重要是彈琴者本身的技巧、級數實際去到那兒。

ABRSM (Grade 1-8):
三首歌，Scales，Aural Test，Sight-reading.
Require G5 theory for taking Grade 6 or above exam.

Trinity (Grade 1-8):
三首歌，Scales and arpeggios (4 of each in early grades)，
Up to and including Grade 5 there is a free choice –
any 2 of AURAL -SIGHTREADING -IMPROVISATION - MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE.
In Grades 6, 7 and 8, Test 1 must be SIGHTREADING. For Test 2 there is a choice between AURAL and IMPROVISATION.

Trinity (ATCL，LTCL，FTCL)
分兩種:
Performance Diplomas
These focus on performance. At ATCL they also include technical work and other supporting tests consisting of Sight Reading and a choice of Ear tests or Aural Awareness. At FTCL the focus is exclusively on performance. For FTCL, candidates perform one set work and the rest of the programme is chosen by the candidate. All FTCL programmes must be approved by head office in advance.


Recital Diplomas
These concentrate exclusively on playing or singing through the presentation of a short recital. This is supported through Presentation Skills to encourage a high level of stagecraft. Candidates may choose some or all of the pieces within their programmes, subject to approval.
