李明逵先生
警務處處長李明逵先生是香港中文大學新亞書院的傑出校友。
李明逵先生於一九七二年加入警隊,任職見習督察,迄今服務警隊三十二年,期間曾駐守多個刑事調查單位及軍裝部門。一九九二年至一九九四年擔任灣仔警區指揮官,一九九四年至一九九五年出任新界北總區副指揮官,一九九五年至一九九八年任警務處助理處長,同時出任行動部指揮官,一九九八年擢升為警務處高級助理處長,出掌監管處及行動處。二零零一年,李明逵先生獲擢升為警務處副處長,先後出任副處長(管理)及副處長(行動)之職。二零零三年十二月,李明逵先生獲委任為警務處處長。
李明逵先生服務警隊三十多年期間,表現卓越,屢獲嘉許。他曾獲頒行政長官公共服務獎狀,香港警察長期服務獎章、第一及第二加勳扣,女皇警察獎章,殖民地警察勞績獎章及指揮官嘉獎等。
李明逵先生自一九七二年畢業後,一直與中大及新亞書院保持密切聯繫,特別大力支持新亞書院學長計劃,與學弟學妹分享經驗,擴闊他們的視野。李先生復協助新亞書院及大學拓展其社會網絡。去年十二月四日,李明逵先生以主禮嘉賓身份出席新亞書院第五十二屆畢業典禮並向畢業生致辭。多年來,李先生為大學及新亞書院的發展,作出了寶貴的貢獻。
Mr LEE Ming Kwai, Dick
Mr Lee Ming Kwai, Commissioner of Police, is a distinguished alumnus of New Asia College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Mr Lee joined the Hong Kong Police Force in 1972 as a Probationary Inspector. During his thirty-two years of service in the Force, Mr Lee has taken up different positions in various Police divisions / regions. He was District Commander of Wanchai from 1992 to 1994, and Deputy Regional Commander of New Territories North from 1994 to 1995. Between 1995 and 1998, he was appointed as Assistant Commissioner, Operations. He was promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police in 1998 and took command as Director of Management Services and Director of Operations. In 2001, he was promoted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, and has been assigned the duties of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Management) and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations). Mr Lee became Commissioner of Police in December 2003.
Mr Lee's outstanding performances during his thirty-two years of service in the Force have won him numerous awards, such as the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government Service, Hong Kong Police Long Service Medal with 1st and 2nd Clasps, Queen's Police Medal, Colonial Police Medal for Meritorious Service, and the Commander's Commendation.
Mr Lee has maintained close connections with CUHK and New Asia College since he graduated in 1972. He has been most supportive to the College's Mentorship Programme, sharing his valuable experience with students of the College, broadening their horizons. Mr Lee has also helped extend the network of the College and the University to the community. He was the Guest of Honour and delivered a speech at the 52nd Graduation Ceremony of the New Asia College in 2003. Throughout the years, Mr Lee has made generous contributions of his precious time and knowledge to the development of the University and the College.
