My suggestions are as below:
第一段
Trams provides an economical means of transport for commuters on Hong Kong Island
a. Having the lowest fares among all transportation facilities in Hong Kong, tram can provide the basic travelling means to people such as the elderly, the students, the grass-root level citizens etc., who cannot afford the higher travelling fares;
b. It can provide easy routes from Hong Kong east to Hong Kong west for those people who consider the other transportation means (MTR, buses, and vans etc.) too complicated;

Trams have a high historic value. They have been on Hong Kong 's roads for nearly one hundred years.
a. Tram has a high and long historic value. It is an obvious land mark in Hong Kong Island. People would not miss their way when they find the nearby tram rails. By the direction of the rails and the up/down slope of the land, people can know approximately where they are.
b. It is also a popular activity for the Tourists to have a tram trip from Hong Kong east to Hong Kong west.

The light-rail system is not a suitable substitube for trams.
a. The existing space for the tram is not sufficient to build a new light-rail system;
b. It will be very costly to acquire more land along the new light-rail system;
c. The fares of the new light-rail system will be much much more than those of the old tram and it will hurt the existing customers of the old tram (refer para. 1);
d. The routes of the light-rail system will in many case, conflict with the MTR, buses, vans etc., and it might encounter serious competition;
