License Fee cost HKD 3,929 per annum.
Insurance cost you about HKD 3,700-3,900 per annum.( 0%NO CLAIM BONUS)
TRANSFER OF VEHICLE OWNERSHIP cost HKD10,000.
Annum Vehicle Examination cost HKD 530.
For a indoor carpark at the ubran area like public housing estate cost you about HKD1450 monthly.
Roadside parking meter cost you HKD 16 for 2 hour and need to made the payment time to time. A risk to get a ticket.
At Yau Tsim Mong area hourly parking fee cost you HKD25 per hour, minium 2 hours.
Cross Harbour Tunnel cost you HKD20 and got stuff in Traffic Jam. Don't want stuff? paid HKD 25 for Eastern Harbour Tunnel or HKD 40 for Weatern Harbour Tunnel.
Most 1,500c.c. seden cost 10Liters /100KM.( fuel tank 50-55 liters) 1 liter cost HKD 12.98.
Preventive maintance every 10,000KM/ 4 months, which come first. cost you HKD130 for motor oil , HKD 50 for oil filter.
For my social activites at YAU TSIM MONG, Causeway Bay, I would got a 30% discount TAXI. I can off at Nathan Road and no need to found a parking space! I paid HKD 90 from Tsing Yi to North Point by Taxi. If I drive I paid round trip tunnel toll with HKD 30, fuel cost HKD 50, parking several ten dollars......................I can sleep when I travelling.
For my holiday, I drive for BBQ, kite, swimming and fishing.Otherwise, I got TAXI, more economic.
Now, I go to made a parking meter payment...................................>_

Before buying a car, so many things need to consider.
1) Do you have free car part (living and working location)?
2) If Q1 is not, how much it cost?
3) How frequency you need the car? Once per day or Once per week?
4) Do you consider to take the TAXI rather then drive by yourself?
5) How many seat of the car you need?
6) How often the no. of passager on the car?

My experience is that include all licence and insurrance and oil cost, it need around $5000 to operate a car. (My car is only 1300cc, 5 seat, free parking at working place but need to rent a car part).

Actually, I would more perfer to take a TAXI, no need to worry for parking or driving. Pay more attention to my baby.
