You dont have to learn 民謠 first.
1. What style of music you like ?
2. What is your budget ?

民謠 and Rock can be easy to learn as well, with both styles, people will teach you normal cords and scales first. I suggest you to learn Rock music first, as a beginner, you can learn more technique like Bend, Mute , Slide, Vibrato...etc.

And to learn Rock music, you need to buy an electric guitar and an amplifier, for which more money is needed, but is better and more funny.

And very important thing is - Learn Music Theory first before you started .
