As of July 1, 2006, the European Union’s RoHS regulation has been valid. This regulation calls for a complete ban of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Chromium, Polybrominated Diphenyl ethers and Polybrominated biphenyls in the production of consumer electronics within Europe. Each member of the European Union will be strictly enforcing this new regulation. From now on, manufacturers must declare that their products meet the requirements of the RoHs regulation.
