If it's: Mary bumped into xxx, that means Mary and xxx clashed and fell (sth simliar). in your case, we should use 'met'.

Honestly, *to bump into* is the right way of saying 撞到, because 撞到 is not merely *to meet*, but also *to meet by chance*.
