Lockhart Road at Causeway Bay.
The road was named after James Haldane Stewart Lockhart, a Colonial Secretary of Hong Kong. He had signed the Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory and his name's Chinese official translation was fixed to 駱克 (Cantonese: Lok Hak).
Part of Lockhart Road is considered as a red light district with many bars, pubs and nightclubs. When the navy of the United States visits Hong Kong, the crews land near Wan Chai and congregate in the area around Lockhart Road.
On 17th December 2005, during the WTO Ministerial Conference of 2005, protestors from South Korea broke the police defense line on Lockhart Road and attempted to break into the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai North. This action developed into a full scale clash with the Hong Kong Police Force.
