TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE
Morrie got a serious illness, and when he realized that, it was already in terminal. Though it was a fact and no one could change it, he used his last chance to share his own great experience with his students. The name of this book was named because they met every Tuesday. During the last period of Professor Morrie, he talked about experience of his life in many different aspects with Mitch. Their relationship was not only between professor and student but they were great friends! They talked about love, work, marriage, aging, forgiveness and much more else.
The part impressed me most was The Fourth Tuesday. They talked about death and it was really fab. You couldn’t imagine how a sick person would talk about death so freely and open. Morrie’s talk was totally different from how I expected it would be. He got loads of letters from whom their relatives and friends who were going to pass away. Morrie tried to comfort them and tell them about how he himself faced death.
Morrie was a real mentor for Mitch and he talked with him about the greatest lessons of life. It was a wonderfully honest exchange between a terminally ill professor and his student. They both gave out and received the wonderful gift of love and friendship.
That is a heart-warming story and it was true. Readers all over the world have embraced it. While I was reading this book, sometimes I laughed out loudly, but sometimes I cried and it wasn’t under control. Before reading this book, I was unprepared how touching and powerful it is going to be but the truth tells me its really great! After reading it, I learnt a lot from it in many different aspects. Maybe I improved my English a bit but it’s not the point. I really understand what is true life, love, death and many others. It’s an unforgettable book no matter how much you get or how much you understand. I would strongly encourage teens like me and even adults like teachers or parents to read it. I promise you will get a lot after reading that.
