If you are preparing for the HKCEE oral exam, basically the info. that you need can be found in your course book or teacher s notes. If you really have no idea, remember the following points:
(1) greeting
(2) drawing people s attention
(3) reminding people the discussion topic [don t just read the topic aloud]
(4) organising the tasks (ie sub-topics 1-3 given in the instructions)
(5) say your point and also listening for each student
(6) agree or disagree with reason (eye contact)
(7) Ending with summarise the point that your group discuss, or point out today topic discuss result in cluction.
S1: HELLO EVERYBODY, SHALL WE START NOW?
S1: AS YOU KNOW, WE RE HERE TO DISCUSS[xxx xxx xxx]. I THINK WE CAN POINT OUT [xxx xxx xxx] FIRST. THEN WE CAN TALK ABOUT [xxx xxx xxx]. AND FINALLY WE DISCUSS [xxx xxx xxx]. DO YOU AGREE?
NOTE:1
After doing the above things you may give your first point, with reasons given
I think that xxx xxx xxx, because xxx xxx xxx.
NOTE:2
DO NOT simply ask others:
What do you think? because the examiner might think that you have no idea at all.
