" none " is not necessary means a person, but " no one " means a person. And since " no one " and " nobody " imply one single person, therefore verbs after them should add an " s ".
For example:
1. No one wants to go. (It should be " wants " instead of " want ".)
2. Nobody likes him. (Also same as the above.)
3. None of them work/works on Sunday. (Both " work " and " works " are correct.)
All the above " no one ", " nobody " and " none " mean person/people. But " none " can be used for non-human.
