Central Florida Community College is in Ocala, Florida. It is approximately 30 - 50 minutes away from the city of Orlando, where is world famous Disney World is located. Orlando is the hometown of the Universal Studios and SeaWorld as well. The Kennedy Space Center is also within driving distance.

The weather in Ocala, Florida is mild: the summer is hot and the winter is warm. It is true that several major hurricanes (typhoons) did hit central and south Florida during the summer of 2005. However, not a single hurricane struck in the summer of 2006. Hence, central Florida is not an area frequented by hurricanes. There is not a true winter season in Florida. The weather during the "winter" months of December to February is much much warmer in Florida when compared to that in Hong Kong. Floridians typically wear short-sleeved T-shirts all year round; long-sleeved jackets are needed only for several days of the year. Afterall, Florida is well-known to be the "Sunshine State." Sunlight and beaches are integral parts of the daily life of every resident in Florida.
