Please determine whether the following statements are correct.


1. Peter has a lots of dogs.

2. Peter has a lot of dogs.

3. Peter has a lots of dog.

4. Peter has a bundles of homework.

5. Peter has a bundle of homework.


So, how to use 'a..lot...of' and 'a..lots..of'?

"a lot of" 或 "lots of" 沒有用法的分別
因為 a 指一:一堆呀咁。當然一堆裡有很多,所以之後的名詞一定是復數,即+s。而兩者可用於可數名詞或不可數名詞,不過接著的動詞必須協調名詞的可數性。
e.g. A lot of students hate exams. / Lots of students hate exams.
A lot of milk is used in this sauce. / Lots of milk is used in this sauce.
見到嗎?動詞因名詞可數不可數而決定 is/are; 或加不加 s。

Only numbers 2 & 5 statements are correct. With "a" therefore without "s", without "a" therefore with "s". Understood?
