The official language in China is Mandarin, however, in Guangdong and Hong Kong the local dialect is Cantonese which has an independent tradition of written vernacular. Most of people can also speak Mandarin except for older people who living in Guangzhou. The name of the phonetic transcription of Mandarin is Pinyin. With the development of sociality and internationalization, most of young people require knowledge of English language to learn from school.

A lot of people can also speak Mandarin, except for the elders, who live in Guangzhou. The name of the phonetic transcription of Mandarin is Pinyin. Due to internationalization, younger generations are requested to learn English at school.
