There are many many different email programs (or email clients) for people to check emails.

Different email clients have different features. Some can show pictures, word document, excel files or html page directly. So ... it all depends on the capabilities of the receiver's email clients.

So far I don't know any email client can show powerpoint directly. If it is just a small powerpoint file, could you convert your content into a animated "gif" file? "gif" format is widely supported by many email clients.
