I'm going to a wedding in Edinburgh in June. Any suggestions where I can stay?

There's a new-looking Hotel Ibis right off the Royal Mile. Location seems pretty convenient, and I don't know about you, but I can't stand living in old hotels. Price is also good, at around £70 for a night (considering that this is a hotel in a centre of tourism).

There should be buses from that area to Heriot Watt Uni: buses are £1 for a single trip or £2.30 for a day pass; be sure to take Lothian Buses, since First Buses aren't covered by the day pass and no one seems to know whence they come and whither they go.

Elder Guest house.

Its beautiful and a double rooms only £50 including a huge full breakfast. Staff are so friendly, i go there once a month with my husband.

A friend and I (we're both 23, from Edinburgh) need to go to Newcastle in March for a friend's stag night. How about we stay at yours for free for a couple of nights and you stay with me for free? Sounds more fun :-D

I should also provide transport for you to, and from, Heriot Watt's Chapel (either in my Saab or my father's Jaguar - hey, you'll be going in style).

Dunno what the term time is at uni. But during the holidays most universities rent out their dorm rooms, they are cheap and you will be near the wedding venue.
Check out the HW Uni website, i' sure they will have details on there.
Just checked, a single room is £39 including full scottish breakfast. You will need to book early as they tend to book up quickly.
