Is of a Hong Kong • which enjoys an environment that is both healthy and pleasant;

• in which the community places a premium on sustaining such an environment for both themselves and future generations.



OUR MISSION

Is to make our contribution towards realising this vision by applying our professional knowledge and judgment and drawing on our experience in environmental protection and conservation
• to formulate policies and plans on environmental protection and conservation;

• to increase community awareness of environmental protection and conservation issues;

• to implement environmental protection legislation and plans; and

• to participate in the town planning process
with a view to achieving and maintaining a high standard of environmental quality and conservation.

Nearly all energy consumed in Hong Kong comes from fossil fuels which are the major sources of air pollutants and carbon dioxide. Our energy efficiency and conservation policy is to promote energy efficiency technologies and measures to the public and the relevant trades so that users can achieve their intended purposes by using minimum amount of energy.

Renewable energy is inexhaustible. It does not emit air pollutants and greenhouse gases. Our missions are two-folded: firstly, we explore the possibility and implications of large-scale use of renewable energy in Hong Kong; and secondly, we facilitate interest parties to design and install their own renewable energy systems by sharing with them technical data and experience.

I'm going to tell you about the environment that across us.
We live in the earth but we never protect it.
Also,we only make it sick and make a lot of pollution.
For example,the people that chop trees are the worst men.
It is because they cut dowm many trees.
It will make a big difficulty for us.
We need more trees to take up the carbon dioxide and make more oxygen.
But the people cut many trees down,it is not good for us,and also the forest.
I think we should protect the environment and not to hurt it.
We cannot just think about ourselves and overlook the others.
