SO is Sulphur monoxide

difference between CO and CO2:
when C reacts with O2
it will first become CO (carbon monoxide)
and then to CO2 (carbon dioxide)
CO is toxic and formed due to incomplete reaction
CO is unstable and tends to react with O2 furthermore to become CO2

i never heard about Carbon oxide
and carbonate is just a kind of polyatomic anion
