我覺得冇分別
基本上好多同義詞都係因為一篇文章唔想成日都講同一個字咁"沈"做出黎, 如果唔係, 咪用pronoun lor(he, she, it)

present means: thing that u give someone as a gift

gift means: a thing that u give to someone, especially on a special occasion or to say thank you



basically.., they are the same... but these definitions are found in oxford dictionary
