Scientific method contains 7 steps:

-state the problem(what you are going to investigate)
-form a hypothesis (predictions)
-find information or refer to what you knew
-conduct an experiment (fair test)
**need a control group and an experimental group....for comparision
find out what is the depedent variable and the indepedent variable
-observe and collecting data
-form a data table and a graph
-based on what you have collected, propose a theroy

There you go!

A scientist will use a scientific method to investigate a problem.
The scientific method consists of 5 steps usually.
1. Observation - to observe the thing you're interested.
2. Making hypothesis - to make a statment that you supposed it is right.
3. Carrying experiment - to carry an (or more) experiment(s)
4. Measuring, recording and analysing
5. Drawing conclusion - use the detail you found to draw conclusion
