just a few minutes before...i was watching national geographic and heard this word...when i glanced at the subtitle it said "...取消"...so i looked for this word"canned" in the dictionary right away and was pretty confused to find out the word doesn't mean the same as "cancelled"

so i'd like to know whether i'm right about that...thx...

✔ 最佳答案
無錯
係俚語
呢句我成日都講

canned係cancelled既短讀
只可以講、唔好寫

Ex:
The concert got canned
I canned the party

但正解就如上邊個兩位講就岩

of course, you are right - 取消 is cancelled, canned is meant 罐頭, e.g. 罐頭音樂 (已製作好的音樂); and have not any means of 取消.
Their meaning are totally different.
