i am的過去式係i was 定 i were

i (be)
be= is/ am/ are (present); was/ were (past)

i am 的過去式可以係 i was/ i were

I was => 我是...
I were => 我可...

簡單的 past tense of (i am)
e.g. I am a secondary student.
e.g. I was a primary student three years ago.

在假設問題上用 i were
e.g. If i were you, i would fall in love with Peter.
e.g. If i were superman, i must save the lives in this earthquake.

I was 是說已過去的事。而一些無可能發生的假設，所有主詞都會用復數之過式。
e.g. If I were you, I would tell the truth.
但我永遠都不可能變成你，所以用were。
e.g. If he were a dog, he would jump onto her.
但他明明是人嘛。

係用I was
例如:I was moved by this movie. 我被這部戲感動(passive voice)

第二位仁兄冇俾錯到資料, 只係唔夠詳細
"I were "係conditional sentence 中第二種情況下先會用到
即係冇可能發生既情況下先會用, 一定會搭配"If"

最常見既例子就係
If I were you.........如果我係你既話

no one would say "i were" because "were" describes two people or more in action or other stuff.

係用於只有一
如:I was clever.
如:When I was a girl,I play games with my friend
was=were
係用於多於一個
如:They were naught.

你見到有I were都正常
當If I were you, I ... 就會用I were
其他情況係用I was

i am的過去式係i was ，

因為am ,is的過去式是was,
而are的過去式是were,
so,i am 的past tense是i was

通常我都係用i was 好少用i were,, 因為 i 係一個人ma 而were 係多過一個,, so 我諗i was 會better!
