5. The marked price of a piece of furniture is$1150. When it is sold at 20%off,a profit of 15% is still made.If it is sold at 10% off,how much is the profit?

Selling price at 20% off = Marked price x ( 1 - Discount % )

= $1150 x ( 1- 20% )
= $920

Cost price = Selling price ÷ ( 1 - Profit % )

= $920 ÷ ( 1 - 15% )
= $920 ÷ 85%
= $1082/6/17

If it is sold at 10% off = $1150 x ( 1 - 10% )

= $1150 x 90%
= $1035

Profit = Selling price - Cost price
= $1082/6/17 - $1035
= $47/6/17
6. A dress marked at $450 was sold at 20% was still made on the dress.Find the cost price of the dress.

5.The marked price of a piece of furniture is$1150. When it is sold at 20%off,a profit of 15% is still made.If it is sold at 10% off,how much is the profit?

Let the cost of the furniture be $x
1150 * (1-20%) = (1+15%)x
x = 800
The cost of the furniture is $800
If it is sold at 10% off,
Profit
= (1150*(1-10%) – 800)
=$235

6.A dress marked at $450 was sold at 20% was still made on the dress.Find the cost price of the dress.

The cost of the dress
= $450 * (1-20%)
= $360

5.{[1150 - ( 1150 x 20% )] / 1150} = 10%
the profit is $ 1035

6.450x(1+20%)=$540
