(a) Find the value of X.
(b) If the cost of the carpet bought is $12 500, express the price rate in $/m^2.
(c) If the maximum absolute error of the length of the carpet bought is 0.05 m, find the maximue possible area of the floor that is not covered by the carpet.

I don't if it is 100% correct...
1a) Maximum error = 0.05 x 2 = 0.1
Xm * 0.4% = 0.1
X = 25 cm
1b) The area of the carpet: 25 x 25 = 625cm^2
The rate:
12500 / 625 = 20$/m^2
1c) The minimum length of the carpet:
25-0.05 = 24.95
The minimum possible area of the carpet:
24.95 X 24.95 = 622.5025 cm^2
The maximum possible area NOT COVERED by the carpet:
625 - 622.5025 = 2.4975 cm^2
