INTRODUCTION TO THE PROBLEM OF POVERTY IN HONG KONG

From the beginning of 90's, the problem of poverty was getting worse in Hong Kong. Compared with other countries like South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia..etc; the distribution of salary income among population are going imbalance. In 1981, the batch of lowest income constitute only 4.6% of overall income and this percentage were slightly increase to 5% until 1986; but decline to 4.3% to 1991. Until 1996; the percentage decline largely to 3.7%. The about percentage decrease further in 2001 down to 3.2%

If they start Hong Kong introducing a poor problem of Hong Kong in 90's and compare it with an aggravation phenomenon appears in the poor situation immediately, and Hong Kong waking up others city and incomes of Hong Kong such as Korea, Hoshika slope, Thailand, Malaysia are distributed and leave for a complaint being equal, I prepare that a household of 20% of a minimum income of a port acquires 4.6% of all house income in 81, and Noboru goes down some arriving at this ratio in 86 to 5.0% again in 1991, and, as for the ratio, 3.7% fall down to a wide cloth bottom to 4.3% still more very very in 96.
