✔ 最佳答案
Percentage of price to pay not in cash
= (1-25%)
= 75%
= 0.75

Percentage of price to pay in cash
= (1-25%)*(1-5%)
= (70%)(95%)
= 0.7*0.95
= 0.7125

Original price for the washing machine
= $2565/0.7125
= $3600

Price to sell the washing machine not in cash
= $3600*0.75
= $2700

So profit percentage in selling the machine not in cash
= ($2700 - $2565) / $2565 * 100%
= 135/2565 * 100%
= 5.2632% (to 4 dec. place)

補充:
要注意題目中 extra discount 指的是 pay in cash 的 percentage = (1-25%)(1-5%) 而不是 (1-25%-5%)。這是一個常犯的錯誤喔!

washing machine market price:$3600
after 25%discount :$2700
if the customer pay cash the price is:$2565

but we can't find the cost of a washing machine..so i think the profit is it between pay in cash or not=2700-2565

to be honest, i am not sure...!below is my calculation:
let the washing machine market price be y
y(1-25%)X(1-5%)=2565
0.75y =2700
y =3600
參考: myself
