伊句句子其實係錯...

我估正確既原文係咁..

因為有左that.. that 後面已經係一句新既clause (短句)
所以可以句點可以由there are開始去睇..

there are about 370,000 seniors living on meagre incomes

基本上黎講一句clause只可以有一個主動詞 (main verb)
所以有時我地都要用到to-infinitive 或者 gerund (-ing)

e.g. I want to eat an apple.
e.g. I like swimming.

伊句句子中,are已經係main verb

所以唔可以直接用live

句子本來可以變成
there are about 370,000 seniors who live on meagre incomes

用左relative clause

不過可以再省減.. 最後變成
there are about 370,000 seniors living on meagre incomes

其他例子:

The boy who is sitting on the table is Peter.
>>> The boy sitting on the table is Peter.

There are many people who are doing exercise.
>>> There are many people doing exercise.
