After the 2006 Redefinition of Planet (2006年行星重定義), Ceres (穀神星) and Eris (厄里斯, nicknamed Xena - 齊娜星 by the discovery team) are now classified as dwarf planets (矮行星), being planets that are smaller than the other existing planets. Pluto (冥王星) is also redefined as a dwarf planet.
Charon (卡倫星) is either a double dwarf planet with pluto, or pluto's largest moon. Even after the 2006 Redefinition of Planet the status of Charon remains unclear, with Pluto being redefinied as a dwarf planet.
