As a general rule, yes. However, most private schools offer more need-based financial aid than public schools, and most top private schools offer 100% need-based scholarships, so basically the cost for people who can't pay are subsidized by people who can and other donations.

Plus the united states of a has the terrific scientific faculties in the international, we is probably no longer maximum appropriate in lots, yet drugs is our sturdy element. definite, it may be greater fee-effective, yet permit's settle for it, till you flow to Oxford or Cambridge, then our scientific faculties are greater effective. this is why human beings flock to the U. S. to flow to med college. you could learn in a foreign country in England whilst in college, it is likewise possible to flow distinctive circumstances, plus you will study lots greater this sort. even nonetheless that is somewhat your determination. Usually they are because they have less funding from the government that a state or local college would. So the cost of the items that a state school would get funding from that a local school doesn't get trickles down to your tuition.

In most cases yes. Public universities receive subsidies from the state that aren't available to private institutions. This helps to offset the cost of attending for the state's residents. What you usually find at public universities is that state residents pay a lower fee than out-of-state students. I think it takes a year to establish residency in most states.

Many private universities however have large endowmnets that help fund part of the education. Yes, private universities can be quite expensive, but without endowments and alumni gifts they would be even more costly.

Yes they are. Unless the private universities offer lots of scholarships to you if you are a worthy candidate.

You won't be able to find that out until you apply and get accepted. So if you really want to get into certain private universities and you believe that you have a fair chance of getting scholarships, then apply and see what happens.

Public universities are much cheaper only if you are a resident in that area. And you may only get scholarship if you are a resident. IF you are not, then don't count on scholarship. Findout about the nonresident tuition before applying.

But yes, generally speaking private U are much more expensive and people who go there usually have scholarship, FAFSA grants, student loan, or their parents are rich.
