The liquid in car battery is sulphuric acid solution, and limestone contains mainly calcium carbonate. They react to give carbon dioxide gas.
CaCO3 + H2SO4 → CaSO4 + H2O + CO2
(1) is correct because CO2 gas is given off.
(2) is correct because CaCO3 is reacted.
(3) is incorrect because CO2 is odourless.
