Depending on the fabric of your suit, I DO NOT advise bringing your suit to the dry-cleaners very often. Dry-cleaners use chemicals that could significantly damage the fabric, especially if it is fine wool, and cleaning it too often will shorten the life of your suit - the fabric will lose its softness and even the color would fade a little. Moreover, the steamers at cleaners are much too hot for fine fabrics, and fibers get burned if they press it too hard or too long.
My best advice is too get a steamer and brush, and do the cleaning yourself. Steam is the best cleaning agent, as it cleans, drives odors, revitalizes fabrics without damaging it at all. Wool does not stain easily (of course, unless you purposely spill wine on it) and all you have to do is brush off dirt and dust while steaming it.
Steamer/iron: Rowanta is a good German brand, get something from the mid-price range (around HK$300). Dry-cleaning costs $60 to $100 per suit, but a good steamer can be used for a very long time.
Brush: Kent Brushes from England makes the best brush (they are used by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles too). You can order them online at
