are we sure the order when we recieved information of L/C?

Firstly, I think you must tell your customer to sign a confirmation to you to confirm a sample is ok and can produce the production after receving the L/C through a e-mail or fax and ask them whether or not need the actual sample. If they need a actual sample, you must give them a actual sample for approval.

Secondly,you can tell your customer to open an irrevocable L/C and you take a full looking at once on the L/C statement when you receive the L/C . If you think it is a problem on the L/C, talking to your customer for amendment.
If the L/C is ok, you must receive the money when you transfer the document to your bank is no discrepancy and on time.
