IELTS Preparation



The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally recognised English language assessment of the highest quality and integrity, readily available throughout the world. IELTS (Academic module) is widely used as an entrance qualification for tertiary education, including colleges in the USA and Canada.



The IELTS Preparation course is an ideal way to prepare for this challenging examination. The course is for people aged 16 or above and helps familiarise candidates with the format of the test and what it involves. It is not a language development course.


For levels 5 and 6, we offer a two-part course over one semester (54 hours). For levels 7, 8 and 9, we offer an intensive 27-hour module.

IELTS self-study package

The self-study package is designed for students who require more flexibility or who are due to take the examination in the near future. It consists of workshops, consultations and self-study tasks which aim to help familiarise students with the examination and develop the necessary skills. Materials and computer access is available in the Multimedia Study Centre in Admiralty and, although not a taught course, feedback on written and spoken examination style tasks is given by a British Council teacher.






HK$1,980 (30 days)

Levels: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Please note that the cost of the study package does not include the IELTS exam fee.

IELTS Registration
Candidates can register for the IELTS test at the Customer Services Centre, located on the third floor of our Admiralty building. Please note that the Written Test(Listening, Reading, and Writing Test) will be held on Saturday and the Speaking Test will be held on the following day(Sunday).

You can study twice a week on Tuesday & Thursday or Wednesday & Friday (two lessons of 1 hour 30 minutes each).

I agree with henrychan666 [, if you want higher guarantee, you should go to British Council. However, if you have condifence with your english. you are not necessily need to enrol any preparation course. for your reference, i do not enrol any course and get a mark of 6.5
