How is salad dressing made and what is it made up of?
What chemical(s) is/are in it?

1. It is a mixture of different compounds.
2. Slowly adding oil to an egg yolk, mustard, vinegar, and salt. The mustard helps to keep the emulsion stable while whisking vigorously to disperse the oil into the liquid. Egg yolk contains lecithin, which acts as the emulsifier. All ingredients are added at the beginning of the process to prevent speckles. Adding the salt after emulsification can cause white speckles.
3. Sodium benzoate(Preservative),Sodium Chloride(table salt),etc. All you can see on the ingredient part of the label on the salad dressing container.
