From my point of view,
Italy joined the League of nation because she was the victorious states of st World War.
Joined the League of Nation was the respond of the victorious states, to support the world peace.

But Italy left the League of Nation, because Fascit Italy annexed other countaries/states.
and the League of Nation didn't want to expand her annexation.
Um.. Naxi Germany supported Italy to left.
