I totally agree. Orlando is building around him right now and they have great guards to open things up for them like Nelson and Redick. Jameer is a great passer and J.J.'s shooting will keep all D's honest. Howard has already proven himself this year with I think 2 games with 20pts and 20rebs. Plus, he had that one sweet dunk right over Big Ben in their first game. I'm a Bulls fan but man, that was sweet.

Which different centers immediately have a physique like Shaq? the reason Shaq replaced into so dominant replaced into his power, and length, and athleticism, no longer his skills. no one else contained in the league at present has a physique like that. The 80s and 90s have been the golden era of centers. And all the super centers have been a minimum of 7 feet, if not greater. immediately a super type of the adult men enjoying midsection contained in the NBA are incredibly 6-9, 6-10 skill forwards. it incredibly is in simple terms that mom nature has doubtless unleased a "drought" of 7 foot adult men contained in the international that would play basketball. in actuality it has gotten so undesirable that a guy like Roy HIbbert can averge 10 & 10, and get a max settlement. all and sundry close 6'11"+ and would conventional 10 and 10 is a max participant now. Ridiculous. Rik Smits could be a max participant in immediately's NBA, and contained in the golden era of centers he replaced right into a mediocre midsection contained in the league.

Hard to choose. Dwight is good but shooting skill ain't good - can't be a clutch. Shaq was never a clutch player too; he had Penny, kobe and now has Wade. On the other hand, Yao can shoot J and is a clutch player. I will take Yao *for now*, but he's still physically weak.

When Shaq retires, Greg Oden (Ohio St.) will be in the NBA and he will be the most dominate center.

Dwight Howard is very good. Right now, I'm leaning toward Yao. Only time will tell.

Shaq is no longer the most dominate center. Yao Ming is. He has been leading the rockets to a better than expected record. He rebounds and blocks shots. He does all the things that a center should do. When Dwight Howard develops his back to the basket game and can score in the post at will he will be dominant. Yao relies more on a fade away move than brute strength like Shaq, but he's getting it done.

frist of all idont think shaq is the most dominite center but i think it will be curry hes hadd 11 20+ games in a row

Sorry but Yao is a center! He is 7'6"! It's not like shoots threes or as the agility to be a forward. Yao Ming will be the most dominate center when Shaq leaves... in fact he already is because Shaq is no way past his prime. At least Yao can make free throws!

Greg Oden would also be a good choice, but I'm not sure he would dominate because he seems too unselfish on the offensive end.
