I think that companies look at the following criteria when considering candidates:
1. Basic qualifications: academic records, language proficiency, and computer skills
2. Personal communication ability: Could the person communicate with his/her collagues, boss, customers and suppliers?
3. Work attitude: Is the person willing to learn? Would he/she mind routine work, overtime, or business trips to China?
4. Understanding of job nature: Does the candidate know the job duties and how familiar is the candidate with the industry?
5. Commitment: Would the candidate be a long-term employee?

I believe that I do well in the above areas. I appreciate your consideration of my application.

XXX The "I do well" part is too cheesy. It would be better for you to talk about how you do in each area and illustrate with examples to show what you are capable of, instead of talking about generalities.
