請注意:英國Home Office 可能會不時作出改變,所以我的經驗只可作為參考。
Had all original documents ready, went to the British Consulate of HK in the morning, submitted applications, interviewed by the officer, then returned in the afternoon to collect my fiancee visa. It was just that simple and efficient.
The officer was impressed and said he had never seen anyone with such a good and organized compilation of documents there before (??) I guess that was because I had all the documents filed nicely in a clear holder and even included a page of 'Table of Contents'.
Here are the documents I took with me:
a) Letter from my now husband stating that he was aware of and agreed to my application.
b) Basic Documents
My passport and birth certificate
His passport and birth certificate
c) Provisional Marriage Booking Document (my husband went to the Registry Office in his hometown to book a date for our wedding before he came to Hong Kong)
d) Income and Financial Proofs
His employment letter, bank statements, documents of property (if any)
My employment letter, bank statements, documents of property (if any) etc.
My resume, Degree/Diploma (if any) etc.
e) Accommodation
His document of house ownership or Lease Agreement in the UK (please note that if it is a lease agreement, you need a letter from your landlord stating your fiancee/wife is allowed to stay there.
f) Proofs of relationship
Photos, Air tickets, Phone bills, Emails, Cards etc. where applies
g) The two forms that need to be filled in (you can download from the British Consulate web site)
h) Passport sized photos (x2) of myself and my husband.
What I feel is they will issue the visa as long as they see a genuine relationship in the two of you and that she does not have to rely on public funds and have a place to stay when she moves and stays in the UK. I do not know if they have different treatment to HK and Mainland China applicants but I do not see why they have to.
That was just my own experience, so take it as reference only. Hope it helps.
