My family and I dislike people smoking around us. However, it's a shame that my father smokes for years.

My father started smoking since he was at his fifteen years old with the excuse that he saw some people smoking around him.

For his health sake, we try every effort to convince him to give it up but nothing seems work so far. We will not give up convincing him until he gives smoking up.

(I think you want to say:) He told me that he started smoking fifteen years ago.He said:' I saw other people smoke,so I smoked too.'
We always persuade him to try (and/to) give up smoking but he always ignore us.
We really want him to give up smoking.

He smoke since fifteen years old. He said "I see another people smoke,so i smoke too.

We always perusuads him try to give up smoking,but he always ignored us said.

We hope one day, he can gvie up smoking.
