我想知呢個宇宙有冇邊緣？

現在科學家普遍都認為宇宙是沒有邊緣的，是有限無邊，以下是香港太空館的資料。
現 今 的 主 流 理 論 ， 認 為 宇 宙 不 論 在 時 間 或 空 間 上 都 是 有 限 的 。 先 說 空 間 ， 空 間 有 限 不 一 定 代 表 存 在 一 個 「 外 面 」 。 以 二 維 世 界 來 作 例 子 ， 假 若 其 宇 宙 是 個 球 面 ， 球 面 面 積 是 有 限 的 ， 同 時 它 沒 有 邊 界 。 故 此 ， 二 維 世 界 的 生 物 （ 譬 如 走 在 上 面 的 螞 蟻 ） ， 永 遠 沒 法 走 出 這 宇 宙 之 外 ， 對 牠 來 說 ， 這 個 宇 宙 不 存 在 外 界 。
現 代 宇 宙 學 基 本 的 信 念 是 ： 宇 宙 中 處 處 平 等 ， 不 存 在 特 別 重 要 的 位 置 ， 例 如 ： 邊 、 角 、 中 心 等 等 。 再 者 從 觀 測 也 找 不 到 這 些 位 置 的 存 在 ， 所 以 天 文 學 家 認 為 宇 宙 看 是 「 有 限 、 無 邊 」 的 。
再 說 時 間 。 現 在 認 為 時 間 是 連 同 宇 宙 一 起 誕 生 的 。 所 有 的 物 理 定 律 亦 然 。 以 科 學 方 法 研 究 宇 宙 最 多 只 能 迫 近 至 宇 宙 剛 創 生 的 時 期 ， 至 於 「 宇 宙 是 怎 樣 創 生 的 ？ 或 是 宇 宙 創 生 之 前 是 甚 麼 ？ 」 之 類 的 問 題 ， 人 類 實 在 是 無 法 理 解 的 。 近 年 ， 的 確 有 人 嘗 試 描 述 宇 宙的 創 生 過 程 （ M 理 論 提 到 的 膜 宇 宙 是 其 中 之 一 ） 。 但 現 階 段 ， 尚 流 於 數 學 上 的 推 演 ， 實 在 沒 有 實 驗 的 基 礎 。 有 興 趣 可 參 考 以 下 網 址 ： http://physicsweb.org/article/news/6/4/21

according to the latest research from CalTech, no, the Universe has no frontier.

According to the theory of Big Bang, the universe is widening every second. Outside of the solar systems, there are systems out there without the influence of gravitation pull, so the universe cannot be getting smaller. Plus, with the theory of Black Hole, it furthermore supported the fact of the unbounded frontier.

In between the domains of Religion and science, stands the philosophical perspective of metaphysical cosmology. This field of study sought to draw intuitive conclusions about the nature of the Universe, man, god and/or their relationships based on the extension of some set of presumed facts borrowed from spiritual experience and/or observation. So overall, as long as the subject of cosmology exists, the frontier of the universe will always be undefined, which many sciencetists considered, inifite.


If you would like to know more about cosmosology and theories leading up to it, you can search for Aristotle and Ptolemy, because they proposed different cosmological theories about the frontier. In particular, the geocentric Ptolemaic system was the accepted theory to explain the motion of the heavens until Nicolaus Copernicus, and subsequently Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler and Galileo Galilei proposed a heliocentric system in the 16th century. This is known as one of the most famous examples of epistemological rupture in physical cosmology.

However, your question would not be answered with a mere thesis. YOu have to consider issues such as metaphysics, philopsohies, mathetics, and most importantly, Religion, because this brought up the existence of God. God is the guy who started all these thinkings.
