Time is 81 m above the ground
72t - 16 t^2 = 81
16 t^2 - 72t + 81 = 0
(4t - 9)^2 = 0
4t - 9 = 0
4t = 9
t = 9 / 4
t = 2.25 (sec.)

Time to strike the ground (0 m above the ground)
72t - 16 t^2 = 0
16 t^2 - 72t = 0
t (16t - 72) = 0
t = 0 (rejected) or 16t - 72 = 0
Therefore, 16t - 72 = 0
16t = 72
t = 4.5 (sec.)

thats easy:
72t-16t^2=81
(9-4t)^2=0
t=2.25
