Of cause yo can, I did that before. I always bring salmon, lamb back to HK from Australia and New Zealand. All you have to do is make sure you keep it in a cooler and keep it cool all the way from New Zealand.
Normally you put some dry-ice should be ok. If you put some frozen stuffs inside will be better too, e.g. abalone, prawns.
The lamb in New Zealand is so good, the taste and the meat are so nice. I know lots of people bring them back to HK too. So dont worry, just pack it good. It should be alright.
