My boyfriend and I have been dating 10 months and he said "We need to talk later" what does that mean?

I dont think he wants to break up .i think something happened between you and him that he thinks you should talk about it seriously later!

"We need to talk" is rarely a good sign...prepare for yourself for the worst, but if it's not a breakup then be glad and listen to what he has to say. Perhaps it's just to discuss the "tough time" y'all have been having.

I know it's tough not to, but try not to spend too much time dwelling on the issue before you talk to him. It won't do any good to wonder...you'll find out when y'all get together and talk.

It means you need to start looking for a new boyfriend!!!!! I don't mean that in a mean way but if it is rocky after 10 months, imagine what it would be like after 2 years.

I wouldn't worry about it! It happened to me once too. Maybe he just had hung out with her recently and subconsciously he dreamed about her but at the same time was subconsciously thinking of sex with you.. Dreams are a crazy thing sometimes. It not really reality and what he is doing.. if he says he doesn't have feelings for her.. than I would let it go. He seems like a honest person just to tell you all about the dream! So I would have trust that his friend that is a girl is just a friend and nothing more!

It can mean many things but he's the only one that can really tell you what he means when he says, "we need to talk later." Don't sit back worrying about it or stressing over it. It's not going to change what he said or what he has to say. Just hear him out and hope that he will hear you out. Maybe he wants to discuss what being causing your rough times. Keep thinking positively about the situation. Don't meet up with him later with a negative attitude. If you have a negative attitude towards him or about what you think he has to say then he's going to just say the hell with the relationship and you and walk away.

its most likely he wants to break up but but it could mean anything. the most you can do is just wait and if he does want to break up then don't let it bother you move on and find some one who will love you through rough times

It could mean he wants to break-up, or take a break. Make sure he knows that you are willing to work for this relationship and you don't want to just give it up.But being the eternal optimist: maybe he just wants to sit down and try to work things out.

It means he wants to talk to you, but probably doesn't have the time. Later will be better. Aside from that - worrying will not help - just chill until/unless he drops a bomb on you.
