microsoft word problem

I cannot insert words into passage. Once I do so, the following word will be replaced by the newly typed word. Can anyone fix this problem?

press INSERT key so that the words will not be overtyped.

I have this problem too. Just press DELETE key.

try to press the insert/delete button once.
