IN FUTURE -
honestly, americans, if they know grammar well, rarely use this term.
IN THE FUTURE -
this is more widely used.
(e.x. I will become a billionaire in the future.)
The article "the" is needed, just like how we say "I wake up in the morning." We can't omit the "the," and say "I wake up in morning."

IN CASE -
this phrase is followed by a clause, something like a short sentence.
(e.x. Can you bring the book with, in case I cannot come.)
in case [a noun, a verb]
it's is like a conjunction that joins to separate clauses together.
IN CASE OF -
of is followed by a noun. nothing more than a noun.
(e.x. Can you bring the book with in case of emergency.)
