✔ 最佳答案
Let the cost price be x dollars.

x (1+20%) = 600
x (120%) = 600
x = 600 / 120%
x = 500

Therefore the cost price is $500.

既然商店有20% profit,cost 怎會比selling price高?換言之$720一定不是答案.

OR

Let the cost price be x./Let x be the cost price.
(1+20%)x=600
120%x=600
x=600/120%
x=500
.:The cost price is$500

The follow up method also can use,you can use equation or the simple's method.

let the cost price of the model car is xdollars:

       x*(1+20%)=600
        120/100x=600
120/100x*100/120=600*100/120
               x=500

so the cost price of the model car is500dollars

Let the cost of model car be $X,
So,
cost + profit = $600
$X + ($X x 20%) = $600
$X x (1.2) = $600
so that,$X = $600 / 1.2=$500
The cost of the model car is $500.!
