Jesus was born in that particular family is not because of their occupation as a carpenter. Matthew chapter one has the family tree of Jesus. You will find that Joseph, the husband of Mary who gave birth to Jesus, was a descendant of King David. The birth of Jesus Christ fulfilled the prophecy.
Moreover, Jesus was to be born in a humble family because it shows how much God loves us and willing to sacrifice for us. Philippian 2 explains this quality of God further. Jesus Christ is the perfect role model. He is the Servant King. He washed his followers' feet, and He loves us to a point that He died for us. Imiitating Christ's humility is definitely one important thing that Christians should learn.
