呢題放係economy度問d答案應該會詳細好多囉,如果係放係chemistry度,我淨係識咁答囉:

Higher percentage yield of product means more chemical substances we are preferring can be aquired. For instance, the large-scale manufacturing of drugs by organic synthesis. More product means that more profits can be made. Moreover, it reduce wastage of chemical substances as the biproducts are usually removed by serveral separating processes and are not conserved for other uses in organic synthesizing processes.

However, in most of the chemical reactions, maximizing the yield usually involve a higher temperature to increase effective collision between particles, and an increase in pressure thus shifting equilibrium position to product side. These two factors will cause an increase in production cause which should be counterbalanced with the profit that can made. When come to this problem, economical concepts should be considered which won't be discussed here.
